Title: Salmon Soap

Yield: 1 1/2 lb

1 1/2cClean rendred tallow
1/2cVegetable oil
3/4cCold water
1/4cLye flakes
1tbPowdered paprika

Measure 2 tb of teh vegetable oil. Add to paprika and stir until thoroughly mixed.

Melt tallow and remaining vegetable oil. Cool in a large bowl. Add lye to cold water, stirring until completely dissolved and set aside to cool.

When fat and lye have cooled to room temperature, pour the lye solution slowly into the fat, stirring constantly.

Continue to stir until the mixture is as thick as honey, then add the paprika mixture, beating vigorously until evenly distributed. Pour into molds.
